Three female personalities from the Nepali media field were awarded with the Sur Padma Samman. First Nepali Actress Bhuwan Chand, Rachana G.C. and Jayan Subba Manandhar were honored with the award. Its the second time this award has been given . Previously it was given to personalities music and movie filed where as from this year personalities from journalism are also included. Actress Bhuwan Chand and singer Rachana G.C. were given Rs 50000 each where as Jayan Subba Manandhar received Rs 10000 along with the award by Sur Padma Samman Guthi (Singer Devika Bandana ).
